Programs offered at OTS
Vocational Training
Every year, OTS provides training to an average of 100 dislocated workers in the fields of Computer Skills, Computerized Book Keeping, Medical Admin Assistant and Medical Billing & Coding.
The programs were completed in approximately 6 weeks to 4 months, with an opportunity for an internship upon completion. Small classes make the training more personalized. Students were afforded as much one-on-one time as necessary with their instructors to insure that their skill goals were achieved.
Students also received guidance on resume development, conducting job search and participating in mock interviews during their training.

The OJT Program is designed to help employers hire and train individuals who lack sufficient experience or knowledge. An OJT agreement offsets the cost of hiring employees by paying 50% of the new employee’s hourly wages during the training period.
This program is funded by the San Diego Workforce Partnership, under the U.S. Department of Labor for the Management and Development – Workforce Investment Act (WIA).
